Star Sprinkles (Original)

Star shaped jewels that are formed from Color Crystals. Each star contains the ability to brighten and color an object or place. The sprinkles are made in a few ways.

1: In the books, and in the songs such as "Prismatism" it is stated that Color Crystals are shattered and break into star-shaped sprinkles.

2: Star Sprinkled: the Color Crystals are crushed in the a puddy or dough and cut in to star shapes with star cookie cutters. Then the star shapes are heated, upon heating they shrink in the small sizes. Similar to a cookie.

In 2010 Hallmark released a short video called "Trouble in Rainbow Land" which gave us a look at the new Rainbow Land and how things work. It seems that Color Crystals no longer are mined for, and fall from Rainbow Land trees into the Rainbow River. The river runs next to a "Water Mill". The water wheel picks up the floating crystals, then grinds them into Star Sprinkles.

In prior episodes of the original Rainbow Brite show it did mention the possibility of Color Crystals growing from trees, and this is in the episode "Star Sprinkled" in which Twink was tricked into selling the Color Caves to a traveling Salesman named Plock in exchange for magic seeds which would grow into trees. In the episode this was said to have been a trick...but could it be they actually worked? You decide that for yourself.
