She is in charge of all the sprites who live and work in the Orange Meadows. Lala is a very sweet and pretty girl and is very good at getting her own way. She always makes sure that she looks her best in case she sees Red Butler, on whom she has a big crush! She can be a bit pushy, but Rainbow Brite known she can rely on Lala to provide lots of orange Star Sprinkles when the situation requires lots of energy and zest!
Characteristics
Lala Orange is the little girl in charge of all things orange. She is very lady-like and romantic. Her biggest crush is Red Butler, and they are often seen together. Lala's name is French, and she wears a beret, which is often associated with French fashion.

Orange Meadows
The Orange Meadows are where Lala Orange and her Sprites mine for orange Star Sprinkles. The land itself is touched orange, with tall orange trees, plump pumpkin patches, and every orange plant and food you can imagine.

Lala Orange's Sprite's name is one that many people wonder about.
O.J./Mango/Saucy
- In the US in 1984 the name was listed as “O.J.”.
- In the episode The Mighty Monstromurk Menace (Part 2) Lala calls her sprite "Sassy", which is the Spanish version of the name.
- In the UK it is “Saucy”. It is also listed as “Saucy” in the US Cross-stitch pattern book.
- In 2004 the company re-released the orange sprite as “Mango”
