The character of Krys was designed to be the male equivalent of Rainbow Brite. Early concept drawings even showed him with a star on his cheek! You can see this in the press kit for the Star Stealer movie.
Stormy was also designed to be an equivalent of Rainbow Brite. However her horse Skydancer who was also male like Starlite, couldn't speak.
Tickled Pink and Moonglow were both voiced by actress Rhonda Aldrich who voiced the Dark Princess in the movie Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer!
