The "Rainbow Brite Robot" or "Rainbow Bot" was created by Murky Dismal to impersonate Rainbow Brite and turn her friends against her.
Getting the idea from one of his books which stated: "The best way to deceive someone is with the person they trust the most they will always believe their most trusted friends."
Working tirelessly through the night he creates the robot, and fashions her a fake belt. The belt looks like Rainbow Brite's color belt, but has no special powers.
The Rainbow Bot's features:
1: a wind-up key on the back of her head
2: is programed with Rainbow Brite's voice
3: has a back-up microphone for Murky's walkie-talkie in case she breaks.
The Rainbow Bot's Flaws:
1: While it has Rainbow Brite's voice, it does not have Rainbow Brite's knowledge of Sprite Speak.
2: As the Robot worked great at first, it had a problem with staying wound up, which made the robot stop mid-sentence or wind down completely. This caused Murky to attempt to mimic Rainbow's voice (poorly) or throw rocks at it to get it to start working again.
While the robot did appear to work and successfully tricked many of Rainbow's friends, it did over all fail and was retired.
Where is the Rainbow Bot Now? Murky didn't take the Rainbow Bot back to the Pits, and was last seen in the Color Caves after it froze up the last time and was discovered to be a fake. It may still be in the caves, or in Shy Violet's workshop for research. No one can say for sure. We doubt Murky Dismal will try that trick again, though.
